POUGHKEEPSIE – A man who was wandering through the office building at 85 Civic Center Plaza in Poughkeepsie and told people he was emptying garbage, apparently was not.
City Police said the man, described as about five-feet, 10-inches tall, possible in his mid-40s, fit build, bald, wearing a black t-shirt, black and white sneakers and a surgical mask, was found walking through the building on May 15. When asked who he was, he said he was there to empty garbage. He was handed a bag of garbage and then left the area.
On May 18, the police were called back to the office building for a reported burglary. A review of video found the man walking through several suites and it was discovered that property was missing from the offices.
