POUGHKEEPSIE – The Hudson Valley, in phase one of its economic reopening, must work through its four phases cautiously, Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro said Wednesday.

This is not “a throw the door open process,” said the county executive. “We do recognize the need to be incremental. We want that to be as fast as is responsible, but it is an incremental reopening and reactivation of activities in our community,” he said. “at the same time, we want to be cautious and very careful about our next steps, which is why as a community we are going to continue to encourage the use of face coverings, we continue to encourage social distancing, and we continue to encourage limiting that physical interaction as we proceed with reopening.”

There are four phases of reopening and the Hudson Valley could reach all of the benchmarks by July.
