Kingston man arrested on sex offender crimes

KINGSTON – The Kingston Police Department assisted the U.S. Marshals’ New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force execute an arrest warrant for Jonathan Lancaster on Furnace Street on Wednesday and took him into custody.

U.S. Marshals’ New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force was searching for Lancaster who was wanted on several felony warrants from the Kingston Police Department and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.

Lancaster, 33, of Furnace Street, was located and arrested for an outstanding City of Kingston warrant for violating a sex offender registering requirement (Failing to Notify of Change of Address – felony).

He is a level two sex offender and is required to notify police agencies of change of address.

Lancaster was also wanted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office for criminal contempt and aggravated family offense as felonies.
