ROSENDALE – The planning committee of the Rosendale Street Festival has made the difficult decision to cancel the festival this year that was going to take place on July 18th and 19th. In a unanimous vote, the volunteer group decided that it was not possible to move forward with the planning of the historic two-day festival that usually features over one hundred vendors, seven stages, and over eighty bands.

“In such an uncertain time, we all agreed that it was best to suspend the coordination of this year’s fest.” stated co-chair, Carrie Wykoff.  The committee started working on the 2020 festival right after last year’s event.
After the vote was taken, the group started brainstorming and re-imagining the event to meet the realities of this time. Some ideas being discussed are a live music concert produced like a Drive-In and/or a virtual festival featuring videos from St. Fest favorites.
The group will meet again on June 3rd at 7 PM at the Mountain Stage, practicing social distancing. New members are more than welcome to attend to help plan upcoming activities.
