Pressure cooker explodes, injures two

SOUTH FALLSBURG – A pressure cooker exploded in a home on Route 42 in South Fallsburg on Monday evening, injuring two people, a 22-year-old woman, and 13-year-old boy, Fallsburg Police said.

Both sustained burns to their chest areas as they were removing the valve and the lid blew off.

The boy was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center and the woman was taken to a local hospital, police said.
