Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo

ALBANY – The number of deaths continue to rise from the coronavirus – 671 in New York on Sunday; 10,056 in total – but Governor Andrew Cuomo is optimistic that we have reached the plateau and if we continue to tow the line, we may begin to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Cuomo is conferring by phone with the governors of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Delaware to plot a regional course of action to begin to reopen the economy. It is his hope that we can start on the path to normalcy.

When will the pandemic be other? “When they have a proven vaccine, that’s when it’s over,” Cuomo said Monday morning.

But, he said we must continue testing and taking precautions of wearing masks, gloves, and taking our temperature.
