NEW CITY – A 65-year-old in the Village of Suffern has died from COVID-19, Rockland County Medical Examiner Dr. Laura Carbone said Saturday.
The individual is the first COVID-19-related fatality reported in the Hudson Valley.
The medical examiner has been investigating the death since March 12.
Carbone said the victim had “other significant health problems which were likely contributory to death.”
There are now 13 positive cases of COVID-19 in Rockland County.
