WHITE PLAINS – Westchester County Executive George Latimer has launched a new county community engagement program to support a master plan supplement for Westchester County Airport.

With input from the public, Latimer said they plan on creating a new vision for the airport as a transportation resource.

“The airport is an essential part of our county, and my administration has made a commitment to a thorough evaluation of airport operations and its impacts, as well as a new vision for the airport based on greater participation from the public,” the county executive said.

He said the goal is to “engage everyone the airport touches – our homeowners, business community, environmental groups, community organizations and more – a balance I am confident we can achieve.”

Merchant Aviation will be providing a comprehensive picture of the economic value and environmental impacts of the airport for the supplement and public relations firm Arch Street Communications will engage the public throughout the master plan process.
