WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man was arraigned on Wednesday for the murder of a friend in January. A Westchester County grand jury indicted James Hilliard for murder and criminal possession of a weapon, both as felonies.
Judge David Zuckerman remanded him to Westchester County Jail pending a future court appearance.
On Monday, January 13, 2020 at about 11:46 a.m., Yonkers Police responded to 63 Beaumont Circle where they found an unresponsive woman on the floor; she had been stabbed several times in the head and neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hilliard, who knew the victim, was arrested at the scene.
