MONTICELLO – Nesin Cultural Arts (NCA) has announced that it has just received a $2000 Walmart Community Grant recommended by facility #2547 in Monticello, NY. The grant will help sponsor the Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra (SCCO) Concert Series, a project supported by NCA. Upcoming Chamber Orchestra performances are set for April and June.

SCCO is a professional chamber orchestra founded in July of 2016 with the assistance of a generous grant awarded by the Sullivan County Legislature. SCCO Artistic Director Andrew Trombley said, “The orchestra’s mission is to serve the community and elevate the quality of life for all generations through artistic expression and to support physical & emotional wellbeing by enhancing the cultural fabric of our community.” The Walmart Community Grant program is intended to support local non-profit organizations working in one of several specific service areas to benefit the community at large.
