GOSHEN – The Orange County Legislature has confirmed the appointment of Eric Ruscher as director of Real Property for a five-year term.
Lawmakers also confirmed Darcie Mill for another six-year term as county commissioner of Social Services.
Miller has worked for the county since 2001. She was named social services commissioner in 2014 and was appointed commissioner of mental health in March 2012 after service as the department’s deputy commissioner for seven years.
Ruscher served for 16 years as assistant director of real property services. He replaces John McCarey, who retired recently.
Prior to serving as assisting director of real property, Ruscher served as the Town of Woodbury’s assessor for seven years.
