WHITE PLAINS – A Bronx woman will be serving time in state prison for a 2018 push-in robbery in a private house in New Castle.

Mirabai Sheridan, 45, pled guilty to robbery, for which she was sentenced to eight years in prison, and to conspiracy, for which she was sentenced to one to three years in prison. The sentences will run concurrently.

Sheridan and her co-defendant, Philip Budin, 79, of New York City, spotted their robbery victim at DeCicco’s supermarket in Millwood on the afternoon of October 24, 2018.

They followed her home in Chappaqua. Carrying a bouquet of flowers, Sheridan approached the door of the house, armed with a gun, and pushed her way in. She forced the victim to the floor and restrained her hands and wrists with plastic ties, then stole property from the house and fled with Budin waiting in the car.

Following the investigation, on November 14, 2018, Sheridan and Budin were found in Mamaroneck following another potential victim from a supermarket. Police pulled them over and arrested them, finding a gun in Sheridan’s car.

Co-defendant Budin was sentenced earlier to five years of probation and restitution.
