MONTGOMERY – The traffic nightmare in Interstate 84 in Orange County that began with an eight-vehicle crash at the Maybrook exit at 3:30 in the morning continued all-day-long into the evening.
That initial crash that bottled up traffic on the superhighway resulting it being shut down in both directions for hours extended to the Town of Wallkill exit 120.
A second accident, also in the eastbound lanes later in the day extended to snarled traffic as the road was reopened and vehicles were backed up for miles well into commuter drive time.
There were no reports of significant injuries in either incident.
