KINGSTON – The Kingstonian project, a multi-use development in Uptown Kingston, is being updated with another floor and the addition of some affordable housing.

“We will be adding 14 new units of affordable workforce housing here as part of the development,” said Mayor Steven Noble. We think it’s an important step to meet the needs of our community because we have a need for all types of housing at different levels.”

The project, on 2.5 acres at the corner of Wall and North Front streets, is being built on the site of a former parking garage, and it will include apartments, a 32-room boutique hotel, 8,000 square feet of commercial space, a 420-space parking garage with 250 spaces of public parking and a public park.

The project is currently going through the planning process.

“If all get approved by the planning board,” said Noble, “the project could start as early as next year.”
