GOSHEN – Legoland New York has announced its opening date – July 4, 2020.

Construction is well underway on the resort, which will feature 50 rides, shows, and attractions across seven themed “lands” on 150 acres in the Town of Goshen.

Spokesman Matthew Besterman said the project is in full development as the opening date nears less than a year from now.

Construction is going full steam ahead at the Legoland theme park in Goshen

“We are actually well into construction. We’ve got buildings going up; we’ve got pieces of our rides and attractions; we’ve got parts for our rollercoaster that are now onsite for our Dragon Coaster,” he said. “We have buildings going vertical and we have already started ramping up the process of hiring the more than 1,000 employees or model citizens.”

Also under construction is the new Goshen exit on Route 17, which will bring Legoland visitors right to their doorstep.

The hotel at the resort is planned to be constructed in 2021.

Three tiers of annual passes are on sale starting at $119.99 along with single-day tickets starting at $62.99 per person for kids over two years of age to adults. Children under two will get in for free.

There will also be a fee for parking at the facility.
