NEWBURGH – Children and their parents lined up at Washington Headquarters in the City of Newburgh on Saturday to get a free kite.
Afterwards, they started running on the sprawling grounds inside the Washington Headquarters complex with their kites flying into the air.
It was a beautiful fall day for the annual event.
Many people sat and watched as the kites were flying with the Hudson River in the background. Still others, parents, stayed with their children them to assist in their high-flying duties.
