Four arrested in connection with Beacon gang assault, robbery

BEACON – Police in the City of Beacon have arrested four people in connection with an assault and robbery that occurred around 11:40 p.m. on Thursday, September 19.

Officers were called to the area of Main Street and Schenck Avenue where they found a 39-year-old man who had been attacked in what police said was a gang assault.

A description of the attackers was obtained and officers began to canvass the area leading to a foot pursuit and arrest of Cequan Kimble, 31, of Beacon.

He was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a forged instrument, two counts of assault, all as felonies, and misdemeanors of drug possession, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.

As the investigation into the assault continued, the detective division arrested Ryan Manzi, 27, and Steven Stanton, 38, both of Beacon. Both were charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree gang assault.

A 16-year-old Beacon resident was also charged with first-degree robbery and gang assault, but to the individual’s age, no other information was made public.
