KINGSTON – Michelle Hinchey, the daughter of the late Congressman Maurice Hinchey, will formally announce on Monday that she will challenge Republican State Senator George Amedore in next year’s election.
The 46th District includes portions of Ulster, Albany, and Schenectady counties and all of Greene and Montgomery counties.
Hinchey, a Democrat like her father, had announced earlier this year that she was exploring a possible run for the seat.
