TOWN OF MONTGOMERY – One person was killed Tuesday evening when a pickup truck struck a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 west in the Town of Montgomery.
State Police said around 6:30 p.m., the pickup was traveling in the passing lane behind a tractor-trailer and another vehicle. The pickup entered the right lane and passed the tractor-trailer and the other vehicle.
The driver of the pickup attempted to return to the passing lane when he struck a tractor-trailer in the right lane and lost control. The pickup rolled over several times traveling about 150 yards and ejecting the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. As of Tuesday night, police did not release the name of the victim.
Interstate 84 was closed in both directions.
