PURCHASE – Air cargo company Atlas Air Worldwide will expand its headquarters in Purchase and create 100 new jobs with a $5 million state incentive.

The company will invest $37.5 million over the next five years for extension of the lease, buildout and equipment. Atlas will retain the 568 jobs current at the facility.

The state will provide up to $5 million in Excelsior Job Program tax credits, which are tied to job creation. The jobs will be in flight operations, finance, safety, ground operations, procurement, systems operations, human resources and security.

Atlas is a cargo airline, passenger charter airline and aircraft lessor, which maintains a fleet of 747s, 777s, 767s, and 737s and operates a 24-hour global control center.

“New York is our home and we are excited to strengthen our ties and expand our company in this dynamic, thriving state,” said Atlas Air Chairman and CEO William Flynn.
