LIBERTY – Village Police in Liberty arrested a local man following an investigation into the desecration of several tombstones with graffiti at the Liberty Cemetery in the village.

Landon Dulaff, 36, was charged with the felony of cemetery desecration and misdemeanors of making graffiti and possession of graffiti instruments.

The damage was observed during a routine village patrol on August 9. Further investigation found that a wall on the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation building was also vandalized in a similar manner.

It was later determined that Dulaff caused the damage to both areas.

He was located and arrested without incident on Tuesday, August 20. He was sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.
