FORESTBURGH – The caretaker for Birchwood Estates off Sackett Lake Road in Forestburgh was killed late Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a telephone pole.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office reported that Felix Diaz, 26, of 36 Gun and Road Club Road had pulled out onto Sackett Lake Road and a short distance later he struck the pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
He had apparently been riding with another motorcyclist at the time of the incident.
The investigation into the cause is ongoing.
