Bear on the prowl in West Nyack

CLARKSTOWN – Clarkstown Police received reports of a bear roaming in the Buttermilk Falls Trail area of West Nyack on Friday.

There are no reports of injuries to anyone or any major damage.

Police and wildlife officials again remind people to not leave anything outside that will tempt bears, including unemptied trash cans.  Never leave food for animals, which will encourage them to become dependent on humans.
