FALLSBURG – Town Supervisor Steven Vegliante is asking Fallsburg residents who use municipal town water to limit their consumption wherever possible for the next five days.

“Due to several large leaks, coupled with increased demand this week, we are requesting that our residents limit their water use wherever possible,” he said.

“Please refrain from washing cars, watering lawns, filling pools, or wasting any municipal water.”

The supervisor asked anyone who is aware of a leak in the system to call his office at 845-434-8810 during business hours or Fallsburg Police at 845-434-4422 after hours.

“While there is sufficient water capacity at this point, we need to make sure we maintain adequate tank and pressure levels while repairs are completed,” he said. “We are asking for your cooperation to ensure that there is enough water to serve our residences and provide necessary for firefighting in the event it is needed.”
