TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – Sources close to Marist College have told Mid-Hudson News that a change in the school’s leadership may be expected later this week.
Several reliable sources have indicated that President David Yellen will be replaced by former President Dennis Murray on an interim basis. Financial concerns at the Poughkeepsie-based college are said to be at issue.
A call to Yellen’s office has not been returned and a college spokeswoman had no knowledge of any impending changes.
Murray is said to be in Europe as of Tuesday.
An official announcement from the college is anticipated to be released later this week, according to a source.
