COLDENHAM – Montgomery Town Police are investigating a fatal house fire at 282 Browns Road in the Coldenham Fire District area early Sunday morning.
The fire was called in around 1:30 a.m. with a report of persons trapped inside. They were rescued and transported to the hospital.
Police said one man died.
The two-alarm fire brought out firefighters from Coldenham, Vails Gate, Montgomery, Winona Lake, Maybrook and Walden on standby.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
