KINGSTON – A Greene, New York man pled guilty in Ulster County Court to rape and criminal sexual act.
Mark Smith, 46, admitted to having sexual intercourse and engaging in oral sexual conduct with a child under the age of 17 between October 31, 2018 and December 31, 2018. Both crimes occurred at the child’s home in the Town of Rochester.
Smith was arrested on January 5, 2019, following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center.
When sentenced in August, he faces up to eight years in prison followed by up to 10 years of post-release supervision and will have to register as a sex offender for a minimum of 20 years.
