MID-HUDSON – Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of the summer holiday season and between today and June 2, all police agencies in the region and state are participating in the “Click It or Ticket” campaign.
Police will be out in high visibility locations to enforce seat belt use.
Law enforcement encourages parents to lead by example and have their children buckle up.
There is a proposal making its way through the state legislature that would require back seat passengers to also fasten their seat belts, which is not required at the present time.
