NEW WINDSOR – New York, which already allows medical marijuana, may be headed toward approving recreational marijuana if the governor has his way.
Retiring Senator William Larkin (R, Cornwall-on-Hudson), a supporter of the drug for medical purposes, is staunchly opposed to opening up the drug for recreational use.
“Don’t get into something that you haven’t tested or tried. I am very unhappy that this is doing it without a test of something.”
Larkin, 90, who retires at the end of the year said he supported medical marijuana because of its proven success in easing the pain of those who use it.
