South Fallsburg man arrested on Leandra’s Law charge

Toxquifabian

MONTICELLO – Police in Monticello arrested a South Fallsburg man on a felony charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated – Leandra’s Law. Nery Toxquifabian, 32, also known as Pablo Quinones, was also charged with misdemeanors for driving while intoxicated, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without an interlock device.
Last Friday night, Monticello officers stopped Toxquifabian while he on Pleasant Street in the village after receiving a report that the vehicle was being operated in an erratic manner. He was arrested by driving while intoxicated and operating with a revoked driver’s license.
In the vehicle at the time were three children, ages six, eight and nine. The children were turned over to relatives.
A chemical test administered at Monticello Police headquarters showed his blood alcohol level was .16 percent.
Toxquifabian was also wanted by the State Police on a bench warrant for forgery and offering a false instrument for filing.
He was sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
