GOSHEN – Orange County Legislator Stephen Brescia has served as chairman of the lawmaking body for five years and he is expected to continue in that role for another year in January. He is expected to be re-elected chairman at the first session next month.
Republicans hold the majority in the legislature, which essentially assures the GOP legislator, will be reelected.
“The Republican caucus met and I was appointed there; I had all the votes there,” Brescia said. “If there was any opposition, I don’t foresee it.”
