MID-HUDSON – Wednesday has been declared a National Day of Mourning in memory of former President George H.W. Bush, who died at age 94 on Saturday night.
All federal government offices will be closed as well as the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.
All non-essential Sullivan County Government offices will be closed on Wednesday as well. “The entire nation will pause that day to reflect upon the legacy of one of our great leaders,” said County Legislature Chairman Luis Alvarez. “We will join a fitting tribute to a man who made a lasting mark on this country.”
The Village of Monticello offices and departments will also be closed on Wednesday in memory of President Bush.
