KINGSTON – HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley in Kingston has
filed its amended plans for development of the new hospital project.

The Health Alliance is a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health
Network.

The Mary’s Avenue campus will be transformed into a facility for
all inpatient and emergency services while the Broadway Campus will be
redeveloped as a medical village.

The Kingston City Planning Board will also review the revised plans, that
coming at its December 17 session.

The Mary’s Avenue facility will see complete renovations of the
48,000-square feet of existing hospital space along with construction
of a 79,000-SF adjoining building. Total bed count has been reduced from
over 200 to 175 after community needs were reevaluated.

The Mary’s Avenue project will cost $92 million with the total expense
for both campuses set at $133.6 million.

The Mary’s Avenue campus will include a new birthing center, a new
10-bed intensive care unit along with a six-bed medical step-down unit,
a newly constructed 25,000-SF emergency care center that will include
a services concentrating on cardiac observation and behavioral health;
a new imaging department; and fully-remodeled ambulatory surgery, infusion
therapy and endoscopy units.

The campus will also include a new hospital lobby with central registration/admissions,
financial counseling, family support services, retail pharmacy, gift shop
and waiting area.

Converting the Broadway Campus into a medical village awaits state health
department approval.
