Seized pot
PIERMONT – A Kiamesha Lake man was arrested by Piermont Police on a felony charge of criminal possession of marijuana.
Police said Damon Mitchell, 25, was stopped while driving on Route 9W late in the afternoon of November 21. He was pulled over for driving with a suspended registration and for driving without insurance.
Investigation revealed he was in possession of over five pounds of marijuana.
Mitchell was released on $1,000 cash bail pending a future court appearance.
