Body in Yonkers duffle bag was a Virginia man

YONKERS – Yonkers police say they know whose body was found in a duffle bag on Monday. 
Deshawn Cortez-Seaborne, 24, a black male from Portsmouth, VA, apparently had been stabbed several times, based on stab and puncture wounds to his back, torso, neck and head areas. His body was found about noon on Monday in a duffle bag left outside the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 500 Odell Avenue.
On Monday, November 19th, 2018, at approximately 12:04 PM, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the on a report of a suspicious duffle bag; upon investigation it was discovered the bag contained apparent human remains.
Detectives from the Major Case Unit and Crime Scene Unit interviewed subjects and witnesses, revieved surveillance video, and processing forensic evidence. Investigation has yielded the duffle bag contained the intact body of a deceased black male; the victim suffered from multiple severe stab and puncture that apparently resulted in his death.  
Yonkers Police investigators are working closely with the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office to develop more information.
