Woman found dead in Hyde Park hotel room, husband held for violating protection order

Banach-Minihane

HYDE PARK – Hyde Park police are investigating the death of a woman in a room at a Route 9 hotel in the town.
Police and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the Roosevelt Inn Monday morning for a report of an unresponsive female guest. First responders found Jennifer Banach-Minihane, 38, unresponsive in a room with her husband, David Minihane who had called 911 when he couldn’t wake her.
The mother of four was pronounced dead.
The husband was arrested for violating an order of protection involving the deceased. He is being held at the Dutchess County Jail on two counts of criminal contempt in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office and detectives from the Hyde Park Police Department are investigating the death.
