Three charged with marijuana possession, one had stun gun

STONY POINT – A traffic stop just before 2:00 Friday morning on Battalion Drive in the Town of Stony Point resulted in the arrest of the three occupants, all residents of Stony Point.
Police spotted smoking coming from the vehicle and a strong odor or marijuana as the officer approached. All three admitted to smoking pot.
Further investigation led police to a backpack in the auto which contained 78 grams of marijuana, two vials of concentrated cannabis oil, and a fully charged stun gun, all of which belonged to the driver, Christian Flora-Cartier, 20. He was charged with criminal possession and unlawful possession of marijuana, misdemeanor drug possession and criminal possession of a weapon.
The passengers, Daniel Contreras, and Alec Norbeck, both 20, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal possession of marijuana.
All three men were released on their own recognizance.
