POUGHKEEPSIE – A 20-year-old
former Bronx man was shot after Poughkeepsie City Police responded to
an early morning report of shots fire in the area of Mill and Garden streets.
Responding officers found the man in the middle of the westbound lanes
of the Poughkeepsie arterial highway at around 3:24 a.m.
City police said man, whose name was not made public, was shot once in
the chest..
He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he was listed
in serious condition.

Last week there were three shootings; on one, a man sustained a gunshot
wound to his leg.
