Ten face federal narcotics charges in Sullivan County

MONTICELLO – Ten people
are facing federal charges in connection with their participation in a
narcotics conspiracy in Sullivan County.
The investigation that led to the indictments was conducted by the FBI, State Police, Monticello Village Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
Charged with narcotics offenses are Jhoan Adames, also known as “Chelo,” 29; Rolando Nieves, also known as “Rolo,” 31; Jason Nieves-Pino, 27; Jose Nieves-Herrera, 49; Jose Rubert, 52; Pervis Mercus, 56; Justin Fabricant, 30; Anicasio Hernandez, also known as “Nick,” 40; Osvaldo Mangualbonet, 47; and Frank Valez, 49, also known as “Frankie.”
They were charged with conspiring to sell crack cocaine and cocaine and distributed and distributed the drugs in different locations in Sullivan County, including in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the Village of Monticello.
All but Adames have been taken into custody.
