WHITE PLAINS – A Mamaroneck woman was killed early Monday morning when her SUV slammed into the rear of a pickup truck that was stationary in the left lane of Interstate 287 eastbound in the City of White Plains because of a construction project.
The SUV driver, Patricia Jimenez-Gaylor, 49, died at the scene of the 1:30 a.m. crash. The driver of the truck, David Arndt, 49, of Carmel, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
During the accident, Arndt’s vehicle was pushed into another construction vehicle and sustained damage. The operator of the construction vehicle was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
