WHITE PLAINS – A Bronx man is charged with attempted murder following a non-fatal shooting in downtown Mount Vernon on October 4.
Dahjuantay Douglas, 21, was sent to the Westchester County Jail.
The felony complaint alleges that Douglas fired two shots, one in the air and the second striking the victim who was a passenger in a moving car. The victim remained in the car as the driver proceeded into Yonkers where the injured person was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound.
During the investigation, Mount Vernon Police obtained surveillance video showing the alleged gunman possessed and shot the gun at the victim.
