NEWBURGH – Orange County Economic Development Director William Fioravanti has “a burning passion” for the City of Newburgh and he wants to be the one to continue its renaissance.
He is among about a half-dozen applicants for the city manager’s
job as current manager Michael Ciaravino will be leaving at the end of
the year to pursue other opportunities.
Fioravanti said the city has so much potential and he wants to be the one to make things happen there. “Potential” is Newburgh’s middle name and we need to turn that into reality,” he said.
Earlier this week Mayor Torrance Harvey told Mid-Hudson News that Fioravanti has a keen knowledge and interest in Newburgh.
Fioravanti lives in the city, a plus since there is a residency requirement for the city manager’s position.
