Long: “We didn’t leave …”

KINGSTON – State Conservative Party Chairman Michael Long, in Kingston
Thursday night, said Ulster County members of their party can put Marcus
Molinaro in the governor’s office.
Long also said united Republicans and Conservatives must keep control of the State Senate otherwise he said it would give Democrat Andrew Cuomo “a total green light to stampede over everybody,” since the Assembly is Democrat-controlled already.
“He’s not the warmest and fuzziest guy in the world, you know, actually, Conservatives aren’t supposed to be in the State of New York, according to Andrew Cuomo,” Long said. “But we didn’t leave, we’re here, we’re standing up and fighting for the principles we believe in, and we believe this state is going in the wrong direction. Three million people voted for Donald Trump in New York, and if those three million voted for Marc Molinaro on the Conservative line this November, he would be the next governor.”
Long praised outgoing Ulster County Chairman Ed Gaddy, who retired recently, replaced by Jack Hayes. “He worked very hard for many years and held the party together up here,” Long said.
Other speakers included State Senators George Amedore and Jim Seward and State Senate candidates Thomas Basile and Anne Rabbitt.
