Napanoch man charged with assault in personal injury accident

CRAWFORD – A Napanoch
man has been arrested by Crawford Town Police in connection with a hit-and-run
motor vehicle accident early in the morning of October 7.

The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Blackhawk Road in Crawford.

Christopher Coakley, 20, of Napanoch was arrested on October 9 and charged
with felony assault, leaving the scene of a personal injury auto accident,
failure to report a personal injury auto accident and speed not reasonable
and prudent.

Coakley was arraigned in Crawford Court and remanded to Orange County
Jail on $2,500 cash bail.

The 19-year-old victim was treated and released from Orange Regional Medical
Center in the Town of Wallkill.
