NEWBURGH – Within the last few weeks the City of Newburgh wound up needing to fill three top positions – city manager, planning and economic development director, and comptroller.
City Manager Michael Ciaravino announced he would step down at the end of the year.  Within a couple of weeks of one another, Planning Director Deidre Glenn and Comptroller Kathryn Mack resigned.
Mayor Torrance Harvey said the city has advertised for the manager’s post.
“We are already getting responses in to our civil service office,” Harvey said. “We already put out the position vacancy announcement for the city manager and the director of city planning and economic development.”
A formal announcement is being prepared for city comptroller candidates.
