WHITE PLAINS – A former Edgemont wrestling coach was sentenced on Tuesday by Westchester County Court Judge Susan Cacace to 10 years of probation following his guilty plea in July to two counts of rape in the third degree.
Tyler Sick, 30 admitted to having sex with a girl under the age of 17.
Among the conditions of his probation, Sick, a teacher in the Bronx, surrendered his teaching license and will have to register as a sex offender.
Sick petitioned the court to allow him to permanently move to North Carolina where he has family. It is now up to North Carolina state probation authorities as to whether they will accept the transfer of his probation.
Sick must remain in Westchester County until a decision is made.
