Late-night mishap remains under investigation

POUGHKEEPSIE – Police are investigating an incident involving a car and an MTA service train just north of the Poughkeepsie train station and the Metro-North service yard.
Police were called to the scene around 10 p.m. on Friday and found a car that had left the roadway, crossed one set of tracks and collided with the front of the service train. 
The operator of the vehicle was in the custody of the MTA Police and no injuries were reported. 
City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department responded with an engine and ladder truck but were released shortly after arrival.
