Arce, in court surrounded by attornies, prosecutors

WHITE PLAINS – A Mamaroneck woman, accused of killing her young daughter then attacking police, was arraigned Tuesday on charges related to the crime. 
Cynthia Arce, 29, is accused of killing her daughter, Gabriella Boyd, 2, in their Chestnut Avenue home on April 28 and then wielding knives in trying to attack two Village of Mamaroneck Police officers.
The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the child’s death to be a homicide.
A Westchester County grand jury indicted Arce last week, charging her with one count of murder in the death of Boyd.
In the knife attack on the two police officers, she is charged with two counts of attempted aggravated murder, two counts of attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer, and two counts of assault all felonies
Arce’s next court appearance is scheduled for October 2.
