NEWBURGH – The City of Newburgh will be receiving a second round of state RISE funding, according to local officials.
Councilwoman Karen Mejia said the grant will feed off the initial RISE funding, which was used for code enforcement.
“Putting forward a vision of how we are going to continue to do our code enforcement and tackling our distressed properties and vacant buildings in the City of Newburgh,” Mejia said.
The city’s first RISE grant was about $2 million, but Mayor Torrance Harvey said the second one could be a lot more.
