How this happened remains under investigation

ANCRAM – A Poughkeepsie man was injured when the 18-wheel milk tanker he was driving on Route 82 in the Town of Ancram ran off the road, overturned and rolled over twice before coming to rest on its side.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said all 30,000 pounds of milk it was carrying spilled out onto the ground following the 3 p.m. Friday incident.
The driver, Ronnie Hare, 36, of Poughkeepsie, who was alone in the vehicle at the time, sustained neck, chest and abdomen injuries and had to be extricated before being airlifted to Albany Medical Center.
Route 82 was closed into the evening hours.
Community Rescue Squad, Ancram Fire Department and Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
